What are Tatchies?
Tatchies are everyday gloves reinvented for a touch-screen world. They are gloves you can text, swipe, pinch and call with. Knitted with a special conductive material and lambswool, Tatchies allow users to effectively operate iPhones, iPads, Droids, MP3 players, and all other capacitive touch-screen devices while staying warm.
Why are they called Tatchies?
We think the name doesn’t sound too ‘techy’ or geeky, it’s rather something that we think all technology should be like - simple and easy to understand.
How well can I text with Tatchies?
Precision, precision, precision. Before we designed anything else we made sure that when wearing our gloves people could text and type with accuracy. What good are touch screen gloves if you cannot text or type? The snug, lightweight design provides great precision. Some people even told us that they can text more easily than with fingers because of the conductivity provided by the silver.
Are Tatchies warm?
This question is asked often. They are very warm, as they were adapted to the Swedish (very cold) climate. We even used them in -14 C (6.8 F) without freezing, much thanks to the lambswool. Lambswool is kind of the secret to not freeze up here :)
What makes Tatchies special?
Our design, everything that we’ve created from our website to the actual glove is designed with Scandinavian simplicity in mind.
What fingers can be used on Touch-screen?
All 5, the whole glove works, even we haven't seen an app yet where you use the whole hand.
Do they work when it gets really cold?
Yes. We did informal tests of Tatchies by putting ourselves in a meat freezer at minus 30 degrees celcius for 25 minutes. (Do not try this at home: No one should stand still for 25 minutes at these temperatures). At the end of 25 minutes (we couldn't take it anymore) we tested Tatchies and they worked like a charm. Tatchies keep working because the conductive material is knitted through every inch of each pair. If your fingertips lose conductivity (because they are too cold and dry) the rest of your hand picks up the slack, and that conductivity travels up your fingers to the device. All fingers. All temperatures. All the time.
What is the life expectancy of Tatchies?
The silver does not "wear" off or "wash" off. Like all knitted gloves, Tatchies have a fuzzy, soft look.
Are they washable?
Absolutely. Best to hand wash. Wash gentle cycle and line dry.
What do they feel like?
Lightweight. Snug. Soft, warm, stretchy and slightly fuzzy.
What size should I get?
You will have greater finger dexterity with a snug fit. Tatchies are unisex, and the stretchy fabric allows the gloves to fit most hand sizes. We have either small / medium or large. If you have very big hands go for large. Small / medium works for most of people.

Will they scratch my screen?
No. Tatchies have silver in them, but the silver is knitted with other fabrics to make the gloves smooth and soft … for you and your touch-screen. In fact some people experience it to have a cleaning effect.
What happens if they get wet?
Not only are we 100% water safe, but moisture actually improves their conductive power. Tatchies are not waterproof under water.
Do they work for outdoor sports?
You bet. The fabric is perfect for runners, cyclers, hikers, walkers, skiers, boarders, you name it. The Tatchies fabric keeps your hands surprisingly warm without making them too hot.
When will you produce a leather glove?
We are currently designing a leather glove and they will hopefully be available for the winter of 2013.
What’s your return policy?
As a customer, you have the right to return an item for 30 days after the goods has been delivered, under the prerequisite that it has not been used and is returned in an unscratched condition. Always return the original packaging of the product and eventual brand tags.
If your glove for any reason has a flaw or if you have changed your mind about the product and the packing isn’t broken, please send us an email at hello@tatchies.com with a photograph of your break and a brief description on what happened to get your money back.
We believe in our product and the value of the happiness of our fans and customers. Please email us if you are not happy with something. We are reasonable people and will try our best to work something out. If you are not completely happy please send it back to us within 30 days for a full refund. Buy it, try it and return if you don’t like it for any reason.
If you break the product after 30 days, we will give you a 50% discount for a new one just for being loyal to Tatchies.
Do you charge me when I order or when the product is shipped?
The full amount is charged when you place your order even if your product is not shipping for a long while. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to place a deposit. If you are at all uncomfortable with this situation we certainly understand that you want to look at other products. Sorry about that!
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we do indeed!
Is there a store I can pick your product up at to avoid the shipping charge?
Check our store locator to see where in the world we are available. If you want to avoid the shipping cost you can always tell your friends about us on Facebook or Twitter and we’ll pay the shipping for you in exchange.
How much is shipping?
12 SEK inside Sweden and €4 internationally. If you Tweet or Like us we will pay your shipping no matter where you are ordering from.
What are my shipping options?
At the moment we only carry packages out through the Swedish Postal Service. We are currently looking into bigger service providers with tracking.
Is there tracking information?
Standard international shipping (which we pay for if you like or tweet about us) does not include tracking today. But in the future this is something we are looking into.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards via PayPal.
Can I make changes to my order after it has already been placed?
Once an order I submitted thorugh or website, it is usually not possible to make changes to the order.
You can always contact us to request a change to your order, and we will see if we can catch it before it ships.
How can I find out the status of my order?
If you have not received your order within 10 working days then please contact your local post office with your postal reference no as they may be holding your order after an unsuccessful delivery attempt. There is a small chance that your order is going through customs which would cause a delivery delay.
Can I pay extra to have my product shipped sooner?
Sorry our order processing system does not allow for special exceptions for shipping, even if our customers are willing to pay for it.
